Legião Urbana


Legião Urbana was a Brazilian rock band that emerged in Brasilia active between 1982 and 1996. In all, sixteen cast albums, totaling more than 20 million albums sold.  Even today, it is the third music group EMI's biggest selling catalog albums worldwide, with an average of 250,000 copies per year . The purpose of the group was marked by the death of their leader and vocalist, Renato Russo, on October 11, 1996. The band is one of the record holders of record sales in Brazil of ABPD awards included two discs by Diamond albums What Is This Country Acoustic MTV 1987 and 1999.  The band is part of the sacred rock quartet called Brazilian along with the Barão Vermelho, Titãs and Paralamas do Sucesso.
